Puri Rath Yatra 2023:The procession of Rath Yatra continues
Puri Rath Yatra 2023: Lord Mahaprabhu Jagannath’s chariot has started after hours of waiting. Devotees draw the Nandighosha of Vishwa Niyanta Shreejagannath with devotion. At 4:50 p.m., devotees pull Nandighosh Rath towards Sharadhabali.
Previously, devotees were dragging the mirror of Goddess Subhadra towards Shardhabali after Lord Balabhadra’s taldhvaj. Rathtana began today at 3:40 p.m. in Ladand. The devotees began by pulling Balabhadra’s taldhvaja. He then pulled over the mirror at 3:55 p.m. The worshippers’ chanting and the sound of the bells are both audible.
The summer heat in the state is persisting due to a lack of rain, and it has become uncomfortable for the inhabitants of Puri. The pulling of raths began after the Chherapanhara ceremonies, which were performed by Gajapati Maharaja Dibyasingha Deb in all three Raths- Nandighosh, Taladhwaja, and Debadalan while Mantras were chanted. Previously, in the morning, idols of Lord Jagannath and his siblings were placed on their various chariots, following spectacular ceremonial Pahandi rites.
Notably, Nitikanti began his day at the temple this morning. Chaturdhamurthy won in three chariots after Pahandi. Srisudarshan’s research began around 9 a.m. Then Sribaldeva’s research began. Then came Maa Subhadra, and eventually Kalia Thakur. The Singhdwar area was trembling with the sound of bells and bells and trumpets at the feet of Mahaprabhu Srijagannath. Kalia Gosaiku arrived with a large audience. The procession is supposed to have brought 10 lakh devotees to Puri today.
