While discussing his role, Ravie Dubey said that portraying Lakshman required complete emotional and physical transformation. “That role changed me. I had to transform myself to do justice to it because the audience can easily tell when you are faking it,” he said. Ravie added that all cast members, including Ranbir Kapoor Ramayana transformation, went through intense discipline. “Ranbir has sacrificed so much for this film. This feels more like a yagya. We all did everything possible to stay true to these characters — in how we behave, react, and even speak,” he told YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia.

Sunny Deol portrays Hanuman, while Ravie Dubey essays Lakshman. Kajal Aggarwal and Rakul Preet Singh appear as Mandodri and Surpanakha, respectively. Ramayana Part 1 and Part 2 Release Plans

According to reports, the editing of Ramayana: Part 1 has been completed, and the team is now focused on its VFX work, which will continue for nearly 300 days. The first instalment is set for a grand Diwali 2026 release, followed by Ramayana: Part 2 in Diwali 2027. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the project promises to be a cinematic spectacle rooted in faith, devotion, and storytelling excellence.
