Shah Rukh Khan Injured on ‘King’ Sets During Action Scene, Filming Delayed Until September

Published on

Mumbai: Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has reportedly sustained a back injury while filming an intense action sequence for his upcoming film, ‘King’, directed by Siddharth Anand. Sources said that the injury is not serious, and the actor is recovering well.

Filming Halted, Resumes in September

The incident has caused an interruption in the production schedule, with filming now expected to resume in September 2025. Following the injury, Khan initially travelled to the United States for treatment and has since relocated to the UK to recuperate with his family.

A planned trip to Sri Lanka for filming has been postponed to prioritise the actor’s health.

‘King’: A High-Octane Drama with Star Power

The film ‘King’ is particularly noteworthy as it marks the theatrical debut of Suhana Khan, daughter of Shah Rukh Khan, who was last seen in Netflix’s ‘The Archies’. The ensemble cast includes:

  • Deepika Padukone
  • Abhishek Bachchan
  • Jaideep Ahlawat
  • Anil Kapoor
  • Abhay Verma

Touted as a high-octane drama, ‘King’ is expected to blend intense action, emotional depth, and strong performances.

Despite the production delay, anticipation around ‘King’ remains high. Fans across the globe have expressed their well wishes for Shah Rukh Khan, flooding social media with messages of support and speedy recovery.

The film is expected to be one of the most awaited releases of 2025, and the delay, while unfortunate, is unlikely to dim excitement.
