VIDEO: Bihar Dowry Death Shocks Nation, “Papa please, mummy ko chod do”

Published on

A deeply disturbing case of suspected dowry-related domestic violence has emerged from the Janakpur area of Gaya district in Bihar, where a woman named Nisha Kumari died under suspicious circumstances, triggering widespread public anger and calls for justice.

Shocking Abuse Caught on Camera

A horrifying video clip, now viral on social media, shows Nisha Kumari being violently assaulted by her husband, Abhishek Kumar, in the presence of their two young daughters. One of the children can be heard crying, “Papa please, mummy ko chod do” (Papa, please stop hurting mummy) — a line that has stirred the conscience of the nation.

Family Alleges Dowry Harassment, Murder

Nisha’s father, Shravan Kumar, has filed a formal FIR against Abhishek and his family, accusing them of regular dowry harassment since Nisha’s marriage in 2015. According to Shravan, the abuse worsened after the birth of her two daughters, with the in-laws allegedly demanding cash amounts between ₹20,000 and ₹50,000.

Shravan believes his daughter was murdered by her husband due to her failure to meet these dowry demands.

Husband Claims Suicide, Denies Allegations

Abhishek, however, has claimed that he was in Patna at the time of the incident and was informed that Nisha had consumed poison. She later died during treatment, he claims. The police have sent Nisha’s body for a post-mortem, and investigations are ongoing.

Legal Action & Public Reaction

Police have booked Abhishek Kumar and several members of his family under charges relating to dowry harassment and murder. The video has ignited a nationwide debate about the ongoing menace of domestic violence and dowry-related abuse, with activists and citizens demanding swift justice.

Prominent voices on social media are urging Bihar authorities to ensure exemplary punishment to deter future such incidents.
