Iran Warns of ‘Everlasting Consequences’ After US Strikes on Nuclear Sites

Published on

Dubai: Iran has strongly condemned the recent US airstrikes on its nuclear installations, calling them a serious breach of international law. In a statement posted on X (formerly Twitter), Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi called the attacks “outrageous” and warned they would have lasting consequences.

‘UN Charter Violated,’ Says Iran’s Foreign Minister

Araqchi accused the United States, a permanent member of the UN Security Council, of violating the UN Charter, international law, and the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) by targeting Iran’s peaceful nuclear infrastructure. He urged global leaders and UN members to take serious note of what he called “dangerous, lawless, and criminal behavior.”

Iran Reserves ‘All Options’ for Response

The Iranian Foreign Minister declared that the country reserves all options under the right to self-defense as per international legal frameworks.

“In accordance with the UN Charter and its provisions for legitimate self-defense, Iran will take any necessary step to defend its sovereignty, interests, and people,” Araqchi said.
