Actor Vijay Deverakonda has been diagnosed with dengue just weeks before the release of his highly anticipated film Kingdom, scheduled to hit theatres on July 31, 2025. According to sources confirmed to NDTV, the actor is currently under medical care and is expected to be discharged soon.

The actor is said to be surrounded by family during his hospital stay, and his condition is stable. Fans are hopeful for a quick recovery, and insiders say that Vijay is expected to bounce back soon.

About the Film Kingdom
Directed by Jersey fame Gowtam Tinnanuri, Kingdom is a historical action drama set in the aftermath of India’s independence. The storyline explores the Sinhala-Tamil refugee crisis and the emotional toll of ethnic conflict in the region.
The film stars Vijay Deverakonda alongside Bhagyashree Borse and Satyadev, and features music by Anirudh Ravichander. The cinematography is handled by Girish Gangadharan and Jomon T John. Kingdom is jointly produced by Sai Soujanya and Naga Vamsi under Fortune 4 Cinemas and Sithara Entertainment.
Film’s Delayed Release Timeline
Kingdom was initially slated for release on May 30, then rescheduled to July 4, and is now officially set for a July 31 theatrical release. Despite the delays, audience interest in the film remains strong.
