Vikram Gokhale passes away, PM condoles demise of Actor

Mumbai: Veteran actor Vikram Gokhale passes away on Saturday. He breathed his last at the Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital in Pune. He had been undergoing treatment since November 5 in the hospital. He was 77 years old.

Vikram Gokhale’s daughter said. “This is to confirm that Mr Vikram Gokhale passed away this afternoon. We would like to thank everyone for their good wishes, support, and prayers through this difficult time.”

The actor’s health had “slightly deteriorated” but he continued to be on ventilator support, the hospital released a statement on Saturday morning today.

Notably, Vikram Gokhale started his journey on the Marathi drama. Later he acted in Marathi and Hindi films, including Big B lead Agneepath, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Khuda Gawah, Insaaf, Salim Langde Pe Mat Ro, Bhool Bhulaiyaa, Mission Mangal and Aiyaary. His Marathi film include Natsamrat, Lapandav, Kalat Nakalat, Vazir, Bala Gau Kashi Angar, Anumati, Mukta, Me Shivaji Park and AB Aani CD.

Actor Vikram Gokhale passes away today. The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi has expressed dee1 grief on the demise of actor Vikram Gokhale.

Shri Modi tweeted, “Vikram Gokhale Ji was a creative and versatile actor. He will be remembered for many interesting roles in his long acting career. Saddened by his demise. Condolences to his family, friends and admirers. Om Shanti.”
