The grand War 2 pre release event Hyderabad unfolded on Sunday evening, drawing an electrifying crowd of fans eager to catch a glimpse of their favourite stars. With the film’s release set for August 14, this landmark gathering has provided the much-needed promotional boost for the highly anticipated pan-India action spy thriller.
The evening was marked by deafening cheers as both Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR took to the stage. Fans filled the venue, waving banners and chanting slogans for the two superstars, signalling the immense excitement surrounding War 2.

In his speech, Jr NTR radiated confidence about the film’s success. Striking his signature gesture of raising both shirt collars, the ‘Young Tiger’ assured his supporters that they would leave the theatres proud. He revealed that War 2’s producer, Aditya Chopra, was the main reason he joined the project. “Aditya Chopra garu told me, ‘Your fans will be proud of War 2,’ and I believed him,” NTR shared.
The RRR star also expressed his admiration for co-star Hrithik Roshan, calling him one of his idols. “Twenty-five years ago, I didn’t know any dancer except Michael Jackson. But when I watched Kaho Na… Pyaar Hai, I was blown away by Hrithik sir’s dance and performance. Hrithik sir is among the greatest actors and dancers in India,” NTR said to roaring applause.
Praise for Director Ayan Mukerji and a Hint of Twists
NTR also lauded War 2’s director, Ayan Mukerji, for his dedication and perfectionism. He revealed that Ayan spent countless sleepless nights fine-tuning the film to deliver an unforgettable cinematic experience. While speaking to fans, NTR dropped tantalising hints about major plot twists in the movie, urging audiences not to spoil them for others after the release.
Reflecting on his 25-year-long film career, Jr NTR took a heartfelt moment to thank his loyal fans for their unwavering support. He promised to continue entertaining them for years to come, earning yet another loud cheer from the Hyderabad crowd.
