In the lead-up to International Yoga Day 2025 on June 21, the Ladakh Union Territory Administration has announced a week-long celebration titled Ladakh’s Biggest International Festival of Yoga and Meditation, to be held from June 15 to 21 across various scenic locations in the region.
Yoga sessions will take place at seven breathtaking sites, including Pangong Lake, Shanti Stupa, Sindhu Ghat by the Indus River, and Nubra Valley. The festival will conclude with a grand event on June 21 at the Astro Turf Stadium—India’s highest football stadium—with participation expected from both civilians and military personnel.
Preparations are already underway, with the Union Territory Administration working closely with the Mahabodhi International Meditation Centre. Two coordination meetings have been held to finalize venues and logistics.
The festival will feature themed events aligned with the Ministry of Ayush’s concepts—Harit Yoga, Samavesh Yoga, and Yoga Unplugged. Additionally, a seminar focused on Unplugged Yoga will be organized in partnership with the University of Ladakh.
