Odia Singer Abhijit Majumdar in Critical Condition, Admitted to AIIMS Bhubaneswar

Popular Odia singer and music director Abhijit Majumdar has been admitted to AIIMS Bhubaneswar in a critical condition after his health worsened at a private hospital in Cuttack. Hospital authorities confirmed that he was shifted late Wednesday night as his situation remained serious.

According to reports, the renowned music director was put on ventilator support and admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) on Thursday afternoon.

Odia Singer Abhijit Majumdar’s Health Condition

As per Odisha TV, Abhijit Majumdar was first taken to a private hospital in Cuttack last Sunday after doctors detected a sharp drop in his blood sodium levels. Despite receiving treatment, his health did not improve, and he was later shifted to another hospital in the city’s CDA neighbourhood. When doctors found his condition worsening further, they recommended his transfer to AIIMS Bhubaneswar for advanced medical care.

Currently, the singer is under close medical supervision at AIIMS, and his condition remains critical.

Prayers Pour in for Abhijit Majumdar’s Recovery

Political leaders and fans across Odisha have expressed concern and extended prayers for the speedy recovery of Odia singer Abhijit Majumdar.

BJD Chief and Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik wrote on X, “I have learned that the distinguished music director and singer from Odisha, Abhijit Majumdar, is undergoing treatment at AIIMS due to illness. I pray to Lord Jagannath for his good health and speedy recovery.”

Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan also wished him well, saying, “Along with wishing for his good health and speedy recovery, we pray at the feet of Mahaprabhu Shri Jagannath that he recovers soon and rejoins his work.”
