Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw Launches Special Programmes on DD National & DD News During Seva Parv Celebrations

New Delhi: Union Minister of Information and Broadcasting, Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw, unveiled a bouquet of special programmes on DD National and DD News as part of the Seva Parv celebrations. The launch also included the release of promos of several documentaries produced by Doordarshan and Prasar Bharati.

The Minister underlined that the documentaries showcased the spirit of Karmayog and the lifelong dedication of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who has consistently prioritized service to the nation over personal interests.

Seva Parv celebrations highlight Prime Minister Modi’s vision for nation-building

Shri Vaishnaw praised Prime Minister Modi’s tireless efforts, which he described as a blessing for the country. He emphasized that the Prime Minister’s commitment has brought significant transformations across India, with remarkable progress visible in even the remotest villages.

He stated that India has achieved in the past decade what previously took several decades. Globally, India has also gained recognition in technology, creativity, social justice, and inclusive growth. The Minister marked the occasion by donating blood, encouraging citizens to actively participate in acts of service during the Seva Parv celebrations.

Documentaries launched under Seva Parv showcase progress of India

The special programming features inspirational documentaries that reflect India’s journey of transformation under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership:

  1. Sankalp Ki Shakti, Sushasan Ka Samarthya – A look at India’s governance reforms driven by the principle of “Reform, Perform, Transform.”
  2. Vishwa Patal par Netritva ka Shankhnaad – Showcasing Prime Minister Modi’s emergence as a global leader.
  3. Karmyog – Ek Antheen Yatra – Highlighting India’s advancements in start-ups, space, renewable energy, and women’s empowerment.
  4. Swa Se Samagra Tak – A two-part series presented by Kangana Ranaut, chronicling Modi’s journey from Vadnagar to Red Fort.
  5. Regional Documentaries – Covering state-specific progress under Modi’s governance.
  6. Mera Gaon Aaj – Narrating transformation stories from 75 villages across India.

Leaders highlight transformative journey towards Viksit Bharat 2047

Secretary, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Shri Sanjay Jaju, stated that the programmes reflect the transformative journey of the nation under Modi’s leadership. He stressed that governance built on service and transparency has enabled stories of growth to emerge from every part of the country.

He added that these documentaries and series capture the vision of a Viksit Bharat (Developed India) by 2047, with citizens at the heart of progress.

Prasar Bharati and Doordarshan lead the storytelling of Seva Parv

At the event, senior officials including Shri Navneet Kumar Sehgal (Chairman, Prasar Bharati), Shri Gaurav Dwivedi (CEO, Prasar Bharati), and Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi (renowned filmmaker and scriptwriter), joined the launch. They highlighted how Doordarshan and DD News are amplifying stories of service, nation-building, and collective responsibility.

The documentaries will air on DD National and DD News at the national level and in regional languages on DD’s regional channels, ensuring maximum outreach across India.
