NEW DELHI: The India AI Impact Summit 2026, scheduled to begin in New Delhi on February 16, will see participation from a high-level Israeli delegation, underlining the growing strategic partnership between the two countries in emerging technologies. The Israeli Embassy in New Delhi confirmed the development on Friday, highlighting the summit’s role as a key platform for global dialogue on responsible artificial intelligence.

Israeli Delegation Led by Ilan Fluss

The delegation will be led by Ilan Fluss, former Ambassador and EDTs Policy Coordinator at Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It will comprise senior government officials, technology leaders, researchers and policy experts.

According to the Embassy, the visit aims to strengthen India–Israel cooperation across artificial intelligence, climate resilience, ESG investment, digital governance and ethical innovation, reflecting shared priorities in technology-led development.

India AI Impact Summit 2026 to Focus on Ethical and Responsible AI

In a statement, Fluss said the partnership between India and Israel reflects a shared responsibility to ensure that technological advancement remains guided by ethical principles. He noted that as artificial intelligence reshapes global systems, both nations have a joint role in demonstrating how innovation and human values can progress together.

The delegation’s participation, he said, marks a new phase in bilateral engagement centred on AI and deep-tech collaboration with global relevance.

Panels, Bilateral Meetings and Emerging Tech Governance

During the summit, Israeli delegates are expected to take part in high-level panel discussions and bilateral meetings on AI-driven solutions in climate adaptation, precision agriculture, digital public infrastructure, workforce transformation and governance of emerging technologies.

Discussions will also explore ESG frameworks, impact investment models and public–private partnerships aimed at fostering inclusive and sustainable growth.

Maya Sherman, Innovation Attaché at the Embassy of Israel, said India and Israel share a people-centric approach to technological development. She emphasised that cooperation in AI, climate innovation and digital transformation is focused on addressing real-world challenges such as resilient agriculture, future-ready skills and responsible AI applications.

In the lead-up to the summit, the Embassy has organised side events to facilitate engagement between Israeli and Indian stakeholders from academia, industry and government. During the main events at Bharat Mandapam, the Embassy will collaborate with institutions including IIT Ropar, Dhirubhai Ambani University and policy think tank The Dialogue.

The Embassy said the initiative reflects the expanding India–Israel strategic partnership, with innovation-driven growth and responsible technology development at its core.
