Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a detailed seven-day Odisha weather warning, forecasting widespread thunderstorms, lightning activity, gusty winds, rainfall, and isolated hailstorms across the state between May 6 and May 12, 2026.
According to the weather department, unstable atmospheric conditions triggered by an upper air cyclonic circulation are expected to affect several districts, particularly northern and coastal Odisha.
Day 1(on May 6, 2026): Orange Warning Issued
For the first phase of the forecast period, light to moderate rain and thunderstorms are likely across most districts.
