BHUBANESWAR: The AIIMS Bhubaneswar doctor assault case triggered tension at the hospital on Saturday after a doctor was allegedly attacked by an agitated group following the death of a patient. Police intervened, detained several people and initiated an investigation into the incident.
According to reports, the deceased, identified as Shibashankar Behera of Ogalapada in Khordha district, had been admitted to the medicine ward three days earlier in critical condition after allegedly consuming poison. He died during treatment on Saturday morning.
