DAMaN Odia Movie Tax-Free

Bhubaneswar: The Daman Odia Movie, which is based on the government’s malaria eradication programme, would be tax-free of entertainment during its screening in cinema theatres, said a press release from the Odisha chief minister’s office on Friday. Babushaan Mohanty and Dipanwit Dashmohapatra play lead roles in this box-office hit film. In this movie shows the struggle of a young doctor in providing medical services in remote areas of the Malkangiri district.

CM Naveen Patnaik the government has taken the creativity to promote and inspire the doctors and workers in health sectors in extending their services. “If all departments work in consistency with proper coordination as during the COVID pandemic, we can build a strong and healthy society,” he said.

Currently, Daman Odia Movie has an IMDb rating of 9.7 out of 10 from 7.2k users and becomes the highest-rated Indian film on the portal. The highest for any Odia film on the platform so far, after being released in 51 cinema halls in Odisha.

Notably, The hit Odia film DaMan after doing well at the box office Odisha is now all set to grace the cinemas in Hindi version. The film is directed and written by Debi Prasad Lenka Vishal Maurya and backed by Deependra Samal.
