New Delhi: The movie RRR team win Golden Globe award. This win for RRR has gone down in the history of Indian cinema and Telegu cinema. Ahmareen Anjum, who played the role of tribal girl Loki in ‘RRR’, shared her happiness when ‘Naatu Naatu’ won the Best Original Song trophy at the Golden Globes 2023.
Anjum took to social media and wrote, “This is indeed a proud moment for our Indian cinema. I would call it a phenomenal and historic achievement for the cast and crew of the film. And what could be a better success than recognition of our art on the world’s highest stages?
RRR team win Golden Globe Award 2023. “I was beaming with joy when I heard about this achievement and I prayed that it would happen. Hearty congratulations and best wishes to M.M. Mr. Keeravaani, Mr. Rajamouli and my entire ‘RRR’ team.” The actress has also worked in ‘Sir’, ‘Tottaa Pataaka Item Maal’ and ‘Class of 83’.
Sharing her feelings about being a part of SS Rajamouli’s film, the actress said, “I’m happy to be a part of this groundbreaking film that has given me so much. In fact, it is not just a movie but a masterpiece made in India. From the cast to the crew, everyone worked hard to make this magic happen.
“Our film was also nominated in the ‘Best Picture – Non-English’ category, which is an achievement for everyone. I consider myself lucky and fortunate to have played a vital role in this film.”
Notably, ‘Naatu Naatu’ was choreographed by Prem Rakshith and lyrics by Chandrabose, set to music by M.M. Keeravaani.
