Naba Das Murder Case: Crime Branch Takes Gopal Das On Remand 4 days

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Crime Branch on Saturday remanded Gopal Das, accused in the state Health and social welfare minister, Naba Das Murder Case murder case, to remand for the next 4 days.

Notably, after the initial 4 day remand of accused Gopal Das ended today, he was produced before the court which allowed the crime branch to remand him for another four days.

Early this morning, ADG Crime Branch Arun Bothra today met Orissa High Court Justice JP Das who is monitoring the case and held important discussions regarding the case. After the discussion, Justice JP Das told the media that the ADG Crime Branch briefed him in detail about the ongoing investigation and the angles of the investigation. He added that the Crime branch CID will probe the incident to the lowest level.

Justice Das also informed that he would soon visit the place where the Health Minister was shot dead in Jharsuguda and monitor the progress of investigation.

After the murder of state health and welfare minister Naba Kishore Das by a police ASI, which sent shockwaves across the country, the state government handed over the investigation to the crime branch and wrote to the high court registrar to appoint a retired high court judge. follow the probe. Following this, the Orissa High Court appointed Justice JP Das to oversee the investigation process.

On the other hand, Director (Intelligence) Sanjib Panda and DIG (Intelligence) Anup Sahoo met Director General of Police Sunil Kumar Bansal on Saturday. Earlier, ADG (Law & Order) RK Sharma also met the DGP at the Camp Office.
