The creators have recently shared excited photographs on social media and said, “That’s a wrap for jailer! Let’s meet at the movies.” The statement was accompanied by photographs of the entire crew celebrating the milestone with a massive cake that said “Jailer Shoot Wrapped.” The photographs show ‘Superstar’ Rajinikanth with Thamannaah, director Nelson Dilipkumar, Vikram actor Jaffer Sadiq, and a slew of other artists clapping, chanting, and celebrating the occasion. The following image shows the celebrity cutting the cake, and the final image is a group shot of the complete film crew.

In addition to Jailer, Rajinikanth is working on Lal Salaam, directed by his daughter Aishwarya Rajinikanth. In it, he will play the part of Moideen bhai. Kapil Dev also appears in the film in a minor capacity, sharing screen space with Rajinikanth for the first time.

Rajinikanth will also appear in TJ Gnanavel’s untitled follow-up to Jai Bhim. Meanwhile, speculations have surfaced that Rajinikanth is mulling retiring after shooting his 171st film with director Lokesh Kanagaraj, tentatively named Thalaivar 171. However, nothing has been confirmed as of yet.
