Union Home Minister Amit Shah met with officers involved in the recent anti-Naxal operations in New Delhi, commending them for their extraordinary achievement. In a post shared on social media, Shah reaffirmed the government’s unwavering commitment to eradicating Naxalism from India and stated he would soon visit Chhattisgarh to personally meet the brave soldiers responsible for this success.
Anti-Naxal Operation in Chhattisgarh’s Abujhmad
Security forces have intensified anti-Naxal operations in Chhattisgarh, with a key mission taking place between May 18th and 21st in the dense Abujhmad forests. On May 21, a high-intensity encounter occurred in Boter village, resulting in the neutralization of 27 Naxals, including Basavaraju alias Gaganna, the CPI (Maoist) General Secretary and a Polit Bureau member. A significant cache of arms and ammunition was also recovered during the operation.
