Mumbai: The excitement for Ajay Devgn’s much-anticipated comedy sequel Son Of Sardaar 2 has been turned up a notch with the release of its second trailer on Tuesday. The trailer hints at a riot of laughter, chaotic twists, and the emotional rollercoaster that awaits the audience when the film hits theatres on August 1, 2025.
Chaos Follows Jassi Yet Again
In the latest trailer, Devgn’s character Jassi is seen marrying Neeru Bajwa’s character, only to find himself embroiled in fresh chaos. His troubles begin when Bajwa asks him for a divorce. Jassi hilariously exclaims, “Sardaar ko paagal kar diya!” as a series of unfortunate events unfold in his life.
From being caught in fake love and a Mafia family drama to fulfilling a promise to his beloved ‘bebe’, Jassi’s life takes wild and comic turns. As he aptly puts it, “Jo har baar phase, vo hai Sardaar Jassi.”
The first trailer gave fans a nostalgic reminder of Jassi’s misadventures in Punjab, while the sequel sees him taking his troubles abroad — this time in Scotland. In a dramatic yet comical twist, Jassi and his love interest (played by Mrunal Thakur) pose as Sikh parents to help Roshni Walia get married. The twist? The boy’s father, played by Ravi Kishan, is a heavily armed Sardaar who’s no fan of interference.

Directed by Vijay Kumar Arora, Son of Sardaar 2 features a star-studded ensemble:

Postponed Release Date and Fresh Poster
Originally set for a July 25 release, the makers have now postponed the theatrical debut to August 1, 2025. A new poster accompanied the announcement, captioned:
“The laughter riot just got a new date. Son of Sardaar 2 will now release in cinemas on 1st August 2025 worldwide.”
