Asia Cup 2025: The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has officially announced the Men’s T20 Asia Cup 2025 schedule, confirming that the highly anticipated tournament will be held in the United Arab Emirates from September 9 to 28. This year marks the largest edition ever, featuring eight teams and thrilling group-stage action.
India vs Pakistan Showdown on September 14
In a massive headline development, arch-rivals India and Pakistan have been placed in the same group — Group A — alongside UAE and Oman. The India-Pakistan match is set for September 14, and will be one of the most-watched games of the year.
India will kick off their campaign against the UAE on September 10, followed by the big clash with Pakistan on September 14, and a final group game against Oman on September 19.
Group Stage Format
The eight teams are split into two groups:
- Group A: India, Pakistan, UAE, Oman
- Group B: Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Hong Kong
The top two teams from each group will advance to the Super Four stage, followed by the final on September 28.

India, led by Rohit Sharma, are the defending champions, having won the 2023 edition. This Asia Cup will serve as a crucial preparatory ground ahead of the ICC T20 World Cup 2026, set to be hosted by India and Sri Lanka in February.
