Balanga Minor Girl Dies After Being Set on Fire; CM Majhi Mourns Tragic Incident
Bhubaneswar: The Balanga minor girl dies after battling for her life at AIIMS-Delhi. The victim, from Puri’s Balanga area, was brutally set ablaze by miscreants and had sustained critical burn injuries. She passed away today at 6:22 PM while undergoing treatment at the national-level medical facility.
Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi expressed deep sorrow over the incident. In a post on ‘X’, he conveyed his condolences, stating:
“I am deeply shocked to hear the news of the death of the girl victim in the Balanga incident. Despite all efforts from the government and the continuous care provided by the AIIMS Delhi team, her life could not be saved.”
The tragic incident occurred on July 19 when the girl was allegedly set on fire by unknown assailants. Initially admitted to AIIMS-Bhubaneswar, she was later airlifted to AIIMS-Delhi for advanced treatment.
