Jodhpur: The 14th edition of Exercise Bold Kurukshetra 2025 commenced today in Jodhpur, marking a new chapter in India-Singapore defence cooperation. The bilateral military drill will continue until August 4, bringing together India’s Mechanised Infantry Regiment and Singapore’s 42 Armoured Regiment.

The aim of the exercise is to enhance joint operational capabilities and strengthen interoperability between the two nations’ armed forces.

Exercise Bold Kurukshetra 2025 features Table Top Exercises and Computer-Based Wargames designed to simulate real-time combat scenarios in mechanised warfare. Conducted under the United Nations mandate, the joint drill emphasizes peacekeeping operations, tactical coordination, and command-level integration.

The Indian contingent is being led by Colonel Arjun Ganapathi, while the Singaporean troops are commanded by Lieutenant Colonel Khiew Zhi Yoong. In a symbolic gesture, the Regimental Flag of the Singapore Army will be handed over to the Indian formation, showcasing mutual respect and camaraderie.

Senior military officials from both nations attended the opening ceremony, reflecting the high strategic value placed on the exercise.

Deepening Strategic Partnership Through Joint Training

Exercise Bold Kurukshetra, a recurring annual engagement between India and Singapore since its inception, is vital for developing tactical proficiency and strategic military alignment. The 2025 edition aims to foster greater mutual understanding, joint training, and cooperation at both tactical and strategic levels.

This defence collaboration highlights the shared vision of regional stability, peacekeeping readiness, and commitment to multilateral military engagement.
