Bus overturns at Kalinga Ghati in Kandhamal, 10 injured

Bhubaneswar: At Kalinga Ghati in the Kandhamal district of Odisha, the bus passengers were riding in flipped early on March 14, 2025 morning, injuring over ten people.

Witnesses said that the bus, known as the “Khambeswari,” lost its balance at a bend in the Kalinga Ghati route and overturned when it was heading from Raipur to Berhampur. By ambulance, the injured passengers were taken to Bhanjanagar Hospital.

Around 5:30 am, the accident happened, but prompt rescue efforts prevented a serious incident.

This tragedy follows a similar incident that occurred yesterday at Tangarmunda hamlet under the Sadar police station in Sundargarh, which resulted in one passenger’s death and thirty injuries.

After being saved, the injured travelers were sent to Bhanjanagar Hospital for medical attention.

Police arrived at the spot after receiving the information and investigated the situation. The issue was being investigated further.
