Crime Branch Special DG Reviews Security Arrangements in Bhadrak Ahead of Ram Navami

With only a few days remaining for the Ram Navami festival, Special DG of Odisha Crime Branch, Vinaytosh Mishra, reviewed the security measures in Bhadrak and Balasore districts.

The high-level meeting was attended by senior police officials, including Eastern Range DIG Satyajit Naik, Bhadrak SP Madkar Sandeep Sampat, and Balasore SP Raj Prasad. The discussions focused on ensuring a peaceful and incident-free celebration.

To strengthen security in Bhadrak, 26 platoons of police force will be deployed, while 17 platoons will be stationed in Balasore, as per the Special DG’s directives. Additionally, personnel from the CRPF, BSF, and RAF will be present in both districts to provide extra security. CCTV cameras will be installed in sensitive areas, and drone surveillance will be used to monitor critical locations, said DIG Satyajit Naik.

“Ahead of Ram Navami celebrations, a warrant drive will be launched to apprehend individuals with outstanding warrants, including those with Non-Bailable Warrants (NBW). To maintain law and order, Static Forces and Quick Response Teams will be deployed, along with alternative traffic arrangements to ensure smooth vehicle movement,” added DIG Naik.

Authorities will also monitor social media to curb the spread of misinformation, while Quick Response Teams will be stationed at key locations to handle any emergencies.

As part of security preparations, the police conducted a flag march in Bhadrak on Wednesday to reassure the public and maintain law and order ahead of the festivities.
