DGCA Orders Extended Surveillance of Boeing 787 Fleet

Union Civil Aviation Minister K Ram Mohan Naidu today announced that the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has directed an extended surveillance of the 34 Boeing 787 aircraft currently in service within India’s aviation fleet. This decision follows the recent tragic air crash involving a Boeing 787.

Addressing a press conference in the capital, Mr Naidu said that eight of the 34 aircraft have already undergone urgent inspections, and the process will continue with top priority.

High-Level Committee to Probe Crash

To ensure a comprehensive and transparent investigation, the Minister revealed that a high-level committee of experts from multiple sectors is being established.
