Digital India Week launched by the Prime Minister in Gandhinagar

The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) organised the Digital India Week, a Digital Expo – Digital Mela in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, with the overarching theme “Digital India: Catalyzing New India’s Techade,” a digital transformation journey for showcasing India’s technological prowess to the world.

The Department of Legal Affairs, Ministry of Law and Justice, participated in the Digital India Week from July 4 to July 6, 2022, under the direction of Minister of Law & Justice, Shri Kiren Rijiju, and Minister of State for Law & Justice, Prof. S.P. Singh Baghel, to highlight the digital initiatives that have been undertaken to improve e-Government and digital solutions. A team of Department employees, under the direction of Dr. Anju Rathi Rana, Additional Secretary, is taking part in the event to highlight the Department’s endeavours to go digital, enhance justice delivery, and make it more citizen centric.

The Legal Information Management and Briefing System (LIMBS), an innovative web-based application software tool that uses standard templates and monitors the court proceedings in a proactive, open, and efficient manner, is one of the most significant undertakings.
