New Delhi: Draupadi Murmu took oath as the 15th President of India. She is now the first tribal and the second Woman to be the president of India. In the Central Hall of the Parliament, Draupadi Murmu administered the Oath by Chief Justice of Supreme Court N.V. Ramana. The ceremony was attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other senior politicians.

Today Draupadi Murmu took oath as the 15th President of the country. Chief Justice of the Supreme Court NV Ramana administered him the oath of office and secrecy. During this, top politicians of the country including outgoing President Ram Nath Kovind were present in the Parliament House. The swearing-in ceremony of Draupadi Murmu took place in the traditional way. Ram Nath Kovind, Vice President Venkaiah Naidu, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla and CJI NV Ramana were present on the stage. Draupadi Murmu is the first tribal woman president in the history of India. Draupadi Murmu defeated joint opposition candidate Yashwant Sinha in the presidential election 2022. He got more than 60 percent of the vote Ceremony He took oath in the Central Hall of Parliament at 10.15 am on Monday. Draupadi Murmu was sworn in as Chief Justice NV Ramana. After the oath of constitutional office, Draupadi Murmu will be given a 21-gun salute.
