Flamethrower Attack at Colorado Rally Injures Several

Published on

A violent attack involving a flamethrower left several people injured in Boulder, Colorado, during a public demonstration on Sunday. The incident occurred at the Pearl Street Mall, where participants had gathered for a march supporting Israeli hostages. According to the Boulder Police Department, a man launched a sudden assault using an unidentified incendiary device, causing burn injuries to multiple individuals.

While authorities have yet to confirm the specific type of weapon or chemical used in the assault, the nature of the burns suggests the use of a flammable or explosive device. Emergency responders were quick to the scene to assist the injured, though the exact number of victims and the severity of their injuries have not been disclosed publicly.

FBI Director Kash Patel issued a statement shortly after the incident, calling it a “targeted terror attack.” Federal agents are now working closely with local law enforcement to investigate the motive, identify the suspect, and determine any possible affiliations or ideological motivations behind the act.

“We are actively investigating what we believe to be a deliberate and targeted act of terror,” Patel said. “Our teams are on the ground alongside local authorities, and we will provide additional updates as the investigation progresses.”

So far, no arrests have been confirmed, and the attacker’s identity remains unknown. Officials are urging the public to come forward with any information or footage that may assist the ongoing investigation.

This disturbing incident has sparked concern among local residents and officials alike, particularly given its occurrence during a peaceful march. Authorities have increased security in the area and are monitoring for any potential related threats.
