The Season 2 trailer teases the arrival of Hamish Linklater as the mysterious new Dean Cipher, who preaches a dangerous new curriculum promising to make supes more powerful than ever.
Also revealed was the casting of Ethan Slater (Wicked) as Thomas Godolkin, and the promotion of Sean Patrick Thomas (Polarity) to series regular status.

Season 2 Story: Supes vs. Society
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Season 2 follows the aftermath of Season 1’s events, with Cate and Sam now hailed as heroes, while Marie, Jordan, and Emma return to school weighed down by trauma and loss.
As tensions rise between humans and supes, both on and off campus, the students uncover a secret program that traces back to the founding of Godolkin University—a conspiracy that may change everything. Marie, it seems, holds a key role in this mystery.
“School is back in session… but war is brewing,” teases the official synopsis.
The Team Behind the Chaos
Season 2 is helmed by showrunner Michele Fazekas, with Eric Kripke, Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, and others returning as executive producers. The show is produced by Sony Pictures Television and Amazon MGM Studios, in collaboration with Kripke Enterprises, Point Grey Pictures, and Original Film.
Gen V Season 1 aired from September 29 to November 3, 2023, and was lauded for its bold storytelling and successful expansion of The Boys universe.
