Housefull 5 Crosses ₹300 Crore Worldwide; Abhishek Bachchan Thanks Fans for the Love

Published on

The fifth installment of the Housefull franchise is turning out to be a massive box office success. Housefull 5, featuring Abhishek Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, and Riteish Deshmukh, has officially crossed the ₹300 crore mark globally, with ₹200 crore coming from domestic collections alone.

Directed by Tarun Mansukhani, the film has continued the franchise’s legacy of over-the-top humor, wild plotlines, and a star-studded ensemble. To celebrate the film’s commercial triumph, Abhishek Bachchan shared a new poster on Instagram with the message: “Thank you for a Housefull of love.” In his caption, he simply wrote, “Thank you for all the love.”

Abhishek plays a key role in the multi-starrer comedy, which also includes Sanjay Dutt, Jackie Shroff, Chunky Panday, Johny Lever, Shreyas Talpade, along with leading ladies Jacqueline Fernandez, Nargis Fakhri, Sonam Bajwa, Chitrangda Singh, and Soundarya Sharma.

Director Reacts to Blockbuster Run

Reacting to the film’s box office performance, director Tarun Mansukhani expressed gratitude in a recent interview with Firstpost. “I’m thrilled and happy with the numbers. The fact that the audience is enjoying the film is what truly matters to me,” he said. Mansukhani also confirmed that both versions of the film—Housefull 5A and 5B, which feature alternate climaxes—will premiere on Amazon Prime Video once the theatrical run ends. An official OTT release date is still awaited.

As the film continues its successful run in cinemas, the audience’s response has reaffirmed the Housefull brand’s dominance in the comedy genre.
