 and Director of Citizen Registration (DCR) for Odisha){kind=link}
Bhubaneswar: The Government of India has appointed IAS officer Nikhil Pavan Kalyan as the Director of Census Operations (DCO) and Director of Citizen Registration (DCR) for Odisha.
A 2012-batch IAS officer from the Odisha cadre, Kalyan will serve in his new role until December 31, 2025, or until further orders, whichever comes earlier, according to an official communication from the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) addressed to the Odisha Chief Secretary.
The appointment was approved by the Competent Authority, and the Odisha government has been directed to relieve him immediately to ensure a timely transition into his new responsibilities.
This appointment comes as preparations for the next phase of the national census and citizen registration gain momentum. Kalyan’s role will be pivotal in overseeing data collection, enumeration, and demographic documentation across Odisha.
