India Post Launches ‘Gyan Post’ to Deliver Educational and Cultural Books

Published on

The Department of Posts has introduced a new service called ‘Gyan Post’, a dedicated postal initiative aimed at delivering educational, cultural, social, and religious books at subsidized rates. The service is designed to support the objectives of the New Education Policy (NEP) by enhancing access to printed learning material across India.

‘Gyan Post’ to Bridge Educational Gaps Across India

Aligned with the NEP’s vision of inclusive and equitable education, ‘Gyan Post’ aims to reduce the educational divide by ensuring that affordable and quality printed material reaches even the most remote and rural parts of the country.

The service is available through all post offices nationwide and offers a minimum rate of ₹20 for packets up to 300 grams and a maximum rate of ₹100 for packets up to 5 kilograms, excluding applicable taxes.

Transparent and Reliable Delivery System

To ensure transparency and customer trust, a tracking facility has been integrated into the service. Students, publishers, religious institutions, and educational organizations are expected to benefit from the scheme.

The Department encourages individuals to take advantage of this new offering. For more information, customers can contact their nearest post office or visit the official India Post website at www.indiapost.gov.in.
