J&K LG Manoj Sinha Dismisses Three Government Employees Over Terror Links

Published on

In a significant action, Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has dismissed three government employees for their alleged connections with banned terror groups Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and Hizb-ul-Mujahideen. The action was taken under Article 311(2)(c) of the Constitution, which allows termination without a formal inquiry in the interest of national security.

Employees Identified and Jailed

The dismissed individuals include:

  • Malik Ishfaq Naseer, a police constable
  • Ajaz Ahmed, a school teacher in the Education Department
  • Waseem Ahmad Khan, a junior assistant at the Government Medical College, Srinagar

All three are currently in jail, facing serious charges related to terror collaboration.

Involvement in Terror Activities

A senior security official confirmed that the employees were involved in logistical support, arms smuggling, and facilitating terror operations targeting both security forces and civilians.

Ongoing Crackdown on Terror Ecosystem

This move is part of a larger effort led by LG Sinha since August 2020 to dismantle the terror infrastructure in the region. So far, more than 75 government employees with alleged terror links have been removed from service under this initiative. The focus remains on rooting out overground workers (OGWs) and sympathisers operating within public institutions.
