Defence Minister Rajnath Singh highlighted the importance of the Make in India initiative for India’s security and prosperity, citing the success seen during Operation Sindoor. Speaking at the CII Annual Business Summit in New Delhi, he said India has redefined its approach to counter-terrorism and made it clear that any dialogue with Pakistan will focus solely on terrorism and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).
He asserted that Pakistan now understands that sponsoring terrorism is no longer sustainable and comes at a high cost.
Singh added that India is not only producing fighter jets and missile systems but is also preparing for next-generation warfare technologies. He described Make in India as a transformative moment, positioning the country to become a global hub for engineering, precision manufacturing, and future tech, similar to Japan.
Addressing global uncertainty, Singh said it stems from a lack of trust. In contrast, India has built a strong internal environment of trust across regions, communities, and economic sectors, leading to remarkable progress.
