MUMBAI: The much-anticipated Inspector Zende Netflix release is officially set for September 5, with celebrated actor Manoj Bajpayee taking the lead as Inspector Madhukar Zende. Inspired by a real-life story, the gripping crime drama also stars Jim Sarbh as the suave and sinister “swimsuit killer” Carl Bhojraj.

Directed and written by Chinmay D. Mandlekar, Inspector Zende offers a blend of crime, comedy, and nostalgia, reviving the spirit of old-school investigation where instinct and grit mattered more than modern tech.

Producer Calls Inspector Zende Netflix Release a Dream Fulfilled

Producers Om Raut and Jay Shewakramani expressed their enthusiasm for the Inspector Zende Netflix release, noting the film’s deep personal and historical significance. Raut shared, “It was my father’s dream to make a film on Inspector Zende. His journey and the incredible chase he led is something that must be remembered and celebrated.”

Shewakramani added, “Netflix is the perfect platform to bring such a unique and rooted story to global audiences. Their support for bold, true-inspired narratives is unmatched.”

The film’s ensemble cast also includes Bhalchandra Kadam, Sachin Khedekar, Girija Oak, and Harish Dudhade. With its period setting, Inspector Zende revives an era when fearless cops relied on intuition and raw determination, not technology, to bring justice.
