Market: Watch the weekly stock market round-up

Mumbai: Stock Market: Benchmark domestic stocks logged losses amid global sell-off in the business week ended on Friday. In this uncertain week, the Sensex closed below 40,000 mark while the Nifty settled near 11,750 level.

According to the market analysis report, dimming hope of the U.S. stimulus package before the presidential election next month and resurging Coronavirus cases in European countries impacted the investor sentiment.

During this week, the Sensex declined 527 points or 1.29 per cent to settle at 39,983 while the Nifty 50 index fell 152 points or 1.27 per cent to settle at 11,763.

The broader indices at BSE also depreciated but outperformed the Sensex. The Mid-Cap index lost half a percent while the Small-Cap index closed 0.81 per cent down.
