Microsoft’s AI Bing, Edge now on Android and iPhones Devices
Mumbai: Microsoft’s AI Bing preview using ChatGPT is now available for smartphones. The new AI-powered Bing is available on both Android and iOS devices. Download the latest version of Bing and Edge web browsers from Google Play Store and Apple App Store respectively.
According to Microsoft, 64 percent of internet searches are done on smartphones, and the new Bing and Edge browsers have been updated with Microsoft’s new co-pilot technology, and starting today, the same will be available for Android and iPhone.
To serve as a co-pilot for the web version, Microsoft India on Wednesday announced the release of previews of its new AI-powered Bing and Edge mobile apps on iOS and Android. Users with access to the preview can access the new Bing experience from the home page of the Microsoft Edge mobile app. The new Bing application offers users the same experience as the desktop.
Tapping the Bing icon at the bottom of the app takes users to a chat session where they can interact just like on their desktop.
“Ask simple or complex questions and get answers and quotes. Choose how you want your answers to be displayed (bullet, text, or summarized answers). Modify your request and send an email, poem, or list. Experience Check out Bing Chat to create or,” Yusuf Mehdi, corporate vice president and senior director of consumer marketing at Microsoft, wrote in a blog post.
With the introduction of the new Bing mobile app, the technology giant has also added “voice search”. This gives users more variety in how they can request and receive responses from Bing.
Additionally, the company introduced AI-powered Bing to Skype to create a new chat experience that enhances social connections with users’ friends and family.
“Bing is fluent in more than 100 languages and can translate between languages, and is uniquely positioned to deliver value in this global communication tool,” the company said.
The new Bing for Skype is available worldwide today in preview and can provide useful, real-time answers to all your questions.
The Microsoft company said it bringing AI-powered Bing capability to other communications apps, Teams, in the future. Approximately one million people signed up on the waitlist to try out the new Bing Search with ChatGPT functionality on desktops.
