Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has announced a cash prize of Rs 11 lakh for each player of the Indian women’s hockey squad in recognition of their championship-winning performance.
The Chief Minister also announced Rs 5.5 lakh for each member of the support staff, acknowledging their contribution behind the team’s successful campaign.
The rewards are intended to honour the players’ determination, discipline and sportsmanship following their historic achievement on the global stage.
