The IMD has forecast light to moderate rain across 21 districts during the current weather spell.

Kendujhar, Mayurbhanj, Nabarangpur and Kalahandi are expected to receive 7 to 11 cm of rainfall at some places.

A yellow alert has also been issued for 17 districts, where thunderstorms and lightning are possible along with rainfall.

The combination of heavy showers, lightning and gusty weather could affect road movement, outdoor activities and local infrastructure, particularly in areas already experiencing drainage problems.
