Pathan is an Indian Hindi action thriller film directed by Siddharth Anand and produced by YRF Spy Universe’s Aditya Chopra. This is the fourth film of the YRF Spy Universe. Pathan was released in India in Imax, 4DX, and standard formats on January 25, 2023. Dubbed versions are available in Tamil and Telugu.

Pathan is the most anticipated film in a long time, and the film suffers from a song crisis. The film’s lead actors are superstar Shahrukh Khan and everyone’s favourite Deepika Padukone. The film began breaking records even before its release, with a total of 5.21 lakh tickets sold in advance, breaking the previous record of K.G.F Chapter 2 and ranking second after Bahubali 2: The Conclusion.

Pathan is the first Indian film to be shown in the novel ICE theatre format. It has been released on 9000 screens worldwide, including 5000 in India and 450 in Tamil and Telugu versions. The film’s controversies stem from their song “Besharam Rang” in which Deepika appears in a saffron bikini, which became a point of contention for Hindutva groups. They claimed the song promotes obscenity and disrespects the colour saffron.
Many groups and leaders vandalized malls and tore down movie posters. Many critics have been commenting on the film as if it were a disaster and a headache before its release. Many viewers commented that it was a waste of money and time.
“Movie was basically a copy of the old concepts and just created a fake hype in the market,” one person said. This will hopefully be the final film for this veteran actor. Also “I’m sure he was a good actor in his prime, but it’s time to give these oldies age-appropriate roles and stop acting like they’re just starting out. To all those blindly supporting this movie, stop marketing the movie like it’s the best movie to come out in ages. It’s a shame and doesn’t fall for such tricks.”
