Male (Maldives): Prime Minister Narendra Modi is attending the 60th Independence Day celebrations of the Maldives today as the ‘Guest of Honour’, during his ongoing State Visit to the island nation at the invitation of President Mohamed Muizzu.

Last evening, President Muizzu and First Lady Sajidha Mohamed hosted a state banquet in honour of Prime Minister Modi. During the event, Modi thanked the Maldivian leadership and extended heartfelt greetings to the people of the Maldives on their historic milestone.

In his remarks, President Mohamed Muizzu praised Prime Minister Modi’s leadership and congratulated him on becoming the second longest-serving Prime Minister of India.
