Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that Operation Sindoor has become a powerful representation of India’s women’s strength. Speaking at a public rally during the Women Empowerment Maha Sammelan in Bhopal on Saturday, he emphasized that India will not tolerate proxy wars and is fully committed to taking strong action against terrorism.
The event, held at Jamboori Maidan on the 300th birth anniversary of Lokmata Devi Ahilyabai Holkar, highlighted her enduring legacy. PM Modi remarked that terrorists had underestimated the strength of women, and Operation Sindoor has now become a testament to India’s courage and resilience.
He also noted that government welfare initiatives are inspired by Ahilyabai Holkar’s ideals. Citing her principle of “Nagarik Devo Bhava,” he said the government has placed Women-Led Development at the core of national progress, ensuring women remain central to all major initiatives.
During the event, the Prime Minister inaugurated the first phase of the Indore Metro and launched two new regional airports in Satna and Datia. Additionally, he released the first installment for constructing 1,271 Atal Gram Seva Sadans under the Atal Gram Sushasan Bhawan initiative to strengthen local governance.
To honor Ahilyabai Holkar’s contribution to Indian history, a special ₹300 coin and a commemorative postage stamp were also released.
