Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday strongly condemned the terrorist attack in Jerusalem that killed six civilians and left several others injured.

PM Modi’s Statement on Jerusalem Attack

Palestinian gunmen opened fire at a bus stop in north Jerusalem, killing six people and injuring at least 12, according to Israeli police and emergency services.

Reacting to the attack, PM Modi wrote on X (formerly Twitter):
“Strongly condemn the heinous terrorist attack on innocent civilians in Jerusalem today. We extend our heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and wish a speedy recovery to those injured.”

He further added: “India condemns terrorism in all its forms and manifestations and stands firm in its policy of zero tolerance towards terrorism.” Modi also tagged Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in his message.

India’s Consistent Stand Against Terrorism

India has consistently backed Israel in the fight against terrorism and has maintained a zero-tolerance policy towards acts of terror globally. The latest statement comes amid a surge in violence in Jerusalem and the West Bank, with terror groups attempting to escalate attacks beyond Gaza.
