Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday reiterated India’s firm resolve to become a developed nation by 2047, calling it a key topic of global discourse. Speaking at a public function in Durgapur, West Bengal, the Prime Minister said that India’s ongoing transformative infrastructure development is laying the foundation for a “Viksit Bharat” (Developed India).

The Prime Minister was in Durgapur to lay the foundation stone, inaugurate, and dedicate development projects worth over ₹5,400 crore, marking a major boost for the region’s infrastructure and economic potential.
