New Delhi: PM Modi tribute to Parbati Giri marked the birth centenary of the freedom fighter on Monday, with the Prime Minister recalling her courageous role in India’s struggle against colonial rule and her lifelong commitment to social service. He said Parbati Giri’s work continues to inspire generations and reflects the spirit of selfless service.
Taking to social media platform X, Narendra Modi said Parbati Giri played a commendable role in the freedom movement and worked extensively in areas such as healthcare, women’s empowerment and cultural upliftment.

In his post, the Prime Minister paid homage to Parbati Giri, describing her passion for community service as noteworthy. He also shared excerpts from his recent remarks about her during his monthly radio address.
The Prime Minister noted that her contributions went beyond the freedom struggle and extended into nation-building after independence.
