  • Odisha government has rescheduled Subhadra Yojana payments for newly enrolled beneficiaries.
  • The revised disbursement date is January 22, 2026, instead of January 18.
  • Funds will be transferred directly to Aadhaar-linked bank accounts via DBT.

Bhubaneswar: The Subhadra Yojana payment rescheduled announcement was confirmed by the Odisha government on Sunday, bringing relief and clarity to newly enrolled beneficiaries awaiting financial assistance. The payout, earlier scheduled for January 18, will now be disbursed on January 22, 2026, due to administrative adjustments.

Deputy Chief Minister and Women and Child Development Minister Pravati Parida formally confirmed the revised timeline.

Revised Date Applies Only to New Beneficiaries

In an official statement shared by the Deputy Chief Minister’s Office on X, the government clarified that the revised date applies exclusively to beneficiaries who have been newly added to the scheme. These include women whose applications were verified or approved after the earlier disbursement phases.

The government stressed that the adjustment ensures no eligible beneficiary is left out of the welfare net.

About the Subhadra Yojana

The Subhadra Yojana is one of Odisha’s flagship women-centric welfare initiatives. Under the scheme, eligible women receive financial assistance of ₹10,000 annually.

The amount is released in two equal installments of ₹5,000 each.

Regular and Special Disbursement Cycles

Typically, Subhadra Yojana installments are released on key dates such as Rakhi Purnima and International Women’s Day on March 8. However, the government periodically conducts special disbursement drives to accommodate applicants verified after the main cycles.

What Beneficiaries Should Know

Only newly enrolled beneficiaries who did not receive payments in earlier phases are eligible for this tranche. The assistance will be credited directly to Aadhaar-linked bank accounts through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).

Officials advised beneficiaries to ensure their bank and Aadhaar details are correctly linked to avoid delays.

The Odisha government reiterated its commitment to timely delivery of welfare benefits, stating that administrative refinements are aimed at improving transparency and inclusion.
