Rohit said conversations between him and Kohli while batting together are generally focused on the immediate requirements of the game.

According to Rohit, they discuss which bowlers to attack, when to take singles and how to manage the situation at the crease. He also mentioned that practical conversations about running between the wickets are part of their partnership.

Rohit said that although he and Kohli are different personalities on the field, their approach towards the team’s objectives remains similar.

Kohli and Rohit’s Focus Remains on India

Rohit said their common objective is to help India win matches, series and major tournaments.

The two have shared the Indian dressing room for much of their international careers and have been involved in several major ODI campaigns.

Kohli was part of India’s 2011 World Cup-winning team, while Rohit came close to winning the ODI World Cup as captain in 2023 before India lost the final.
