SCO Summit 2025: PM Modi to Join World Leaders in China for Key Global Talks

The 25th Heads of State Council meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) is set to begin tomorrow in Tianjin, China, bringing together top global leaders for two days of deliberations. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will represent India at the SCO Summit 2025, where discussions are expected to shape new frameworks for global governance while addressing pressing regional and international challenges.

More than 20 world leaders and 10 chiefs of international organizations will gather, making this one of the largest and most ambitious SCO summits to date. Chinese President Xi Jinping will chair the proceedings, marking the fifth time China is hosting the high-profile event.

PM Modi, Xi Jinping and Putin Among Key Participants

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s participation reaffirms India’s strong role in the SCO’s decision-making process. Russian President Vladimir Putin will also attend, along with other prominent leaders, highlighting the summit’s geopolitical importance.

Hosting the SCO Summit 2025 for the fifth time, China aims to demonstrate its leadership in fostering unity and collaboration among member states.
