Union Government to Launch Special Campaign 5.0 on October 2 with Focus on Cleanliness and Efficiency

The Union Government is preparing to launch Special Campaign 5.0 from October 2 to 31, 2025, with a renewed focus on cleanliness, space and record management, and the liquidation of pending references across ministries and departments. According to an official statement from the Ministry of Ayush, the campaign will emphasize systematic improvements and nationwide participation, ensuring greater accountability and efficiency in governance.

Special Campaign 5.0: Ministry of Ayush Leads Cleanliness Drive

The Ministry of Ayush has announced that its institutes, research councils, and affiliated national organisations will actively participate in Special Campaign 5.0 by carrying out extensive cleanliness activities. These efforts will focus on campuses, herbal gardens, water bodies, bus stations, and community areas. Senior officials and Ayush community members will lead activities at Ayush Bhawan and nearby areas, furthering the Ministry’s vision of a cleaner and more organized environment.

Special Campaign 5.0 Builds on Success of Previous Phase

The Ministry of Ayush successfully implemented Special Campaign 4.0 between November 2024 and August 2025. During that phase, it streamlined internal processes, improved workplace efficiency, and addressed pending matters with renewed energy. The Ministry also maintained its reputation as one of the top 10 central ministries for grievance disposal, reflecting its commitment to public service.

Other Departments Join Efforts to Promote Clean Governance

The Department of Rural Development has reported significant achievements in earlier campaigns, including the disposal of over 17,000 public grievances and nearly 2,000 grievance appeals. The Department of Pharmaceuticals reviewed more than 41,000 files and generated Rs 4.8 lakh through scrap disposal. Similarly, the Department of Food and Public Distribution freed up over 1.5 lakh square feet of space, earned Rs 45 lakh from scrap disposal, and announced plans to conduct more than 1,800 cleanliness drives nationwide during the upcoming campaign.

Nationwide Push for Cleanliness, Efficiency, and Accountability

According to guidelines issued by the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG), all participating ministries and departments are expected to intensify their preparations for Special Campaign 5.0. This large-scale initiative highlights the government’s commitment to creating a waste-free, transparent, and efficient administration that benefits both workplaces and the general public.
